Chopped Lime Ginger Green Chilli Pickle

  • Lime(big)
    - 6
  • Green chillies
    - 12
  • Fresh ginger
    - 2 inch
  • Salt
    - Handful
  • Turmeric powder
    - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fenugreek seeds
    - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida
    - Asafoetida


  1. Soak limes whole in water for two hours.
  2. Cut into small pieces.
  3. Cut the ginger into small pieces.
  4. Chop the green chillies finely.
  5. Fry the fenugreek seeds dry and powder.
  6. Place the cut lime pieces in a stone jar,add the chopped ginger and green chillies.
  7. Add salt,turmeric powder and the asafoetida.
  8. Sprinkle the fenugreek powder.
  9. Mix well and store.Can be used to serve after two days.
