    Ingredients

  • Potatoes
    - 2
  • Carrots
    - 2
  • Cauliflower
    - 1
  • Cabbage
    - 50 gm
  • Beans
    - 100 gm
  • Peas
    - 100 gm
  • Vegetable marrow
    - 1
  • Onions
    - 1
  • Flake garlic
    - 1
  • Coconut
    - 1/2
  • Aniseed(saunf)
    - 1 teaspoon
  • Poppy seeds(kasakasa)
    - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chilles
    - 2
  • Ghee
    - 2 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves
    - 1/2 bunch
  • Mustard seeds
    - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt
    - To taste

    Method

  1. Wash the vegetables well.peel the potatoes and carrots;cut into long pieces.
  2. Shell the peas.shred the cabbage finely lengthwise to strips.
  3. Cut the cauliflower into small pieces.
  4. Chop the onions finely.grate 1/2 coconut,extract the coconut milk and keep aside.
  5. Grind the chopped onions,garlic,slit green chillies,aniseeds,poppy seeds to a fine paste.
  6. Boil the vegetables in a vessel with sufficient water.
  7. Add salt,when vegetables are soft and tender,drain and keep aside.
  8. In a vessel,on a slow fire,heat the extracted coconut milk,the ground onion-garlic-chiili paste.
  9. Add the drained boiled vegetables.
  10. When the vegetables are boiled,and an aroma arises remove from fire.
  11. Season in ghee the korma with mustard seeds.
  12. Garnish with a few curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves.
  13. Serve with purees or chappattis.
