    Ingredients

  • Red gram dal
    - 1 cup
  • Tomatoes
    - 2
  • Mustard seeds
    - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves
    - few
  • Green chilles
    - 4
  • Water
    - 1 cup
  • Green coriander leaves(chopped)
    - 1 bunch
  • Lime
    - 1
  • Cummin powder
    - 1 teaspoon
  • salt
    - to taste

    Method

  1. Boil the red gram dal in pressure cooker.
  2. Cool the mash.keep aside.
  3. Take a vessel,add 1 cup of water,put chopped tomatoes,slit green chillies,salt,chopped curry,coriander leaves and cummin powder.
  4. Add the mashed dal mixture.season with mustard seeds.
  5. Just before serving, set this rasam mixture to boil.
  6. Cook for ten minutes.remove from fire.
  7. Serve striaght away.squeeze the juice of the lime.
  8. Serve hot.
