    Ingredients

  • Potatoes
    - 2
  • Carrots
    - 2
  • Sweet potatoes
    - 2
  • Green gram peas
    - 50 gm
  • Onions(large)
    - 2
  • Tomatoes
    - 200 gm
  • Coriander leaves
    - 1 bunch
  • Yam
    - 1 pieces
  • Chiilipowder
    - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder
    - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger
    - a small piece
  • Green chilli
    - 1
  • Garlic(optional)
    - 1 flake
  • Cummin(jeera)seeds
    - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt
    - to taste

    Method

  1. Wash the vegetables well.
  2. Cut and peel the skin of the vegetables-potatoes,carrots,yam,and sweet potatoes.
  3. Cut the vegetables to uniform pieces.
  4. Shell the peas and boil them.
  5. Fry the potatoes,carrots,yam,sweet potatoes separately in ghee till golden brown.
  6. Chop the onions finely and fry in ghee.
  7. Grind together to a fine paste;the cummin seeds,ginger,garlic and green chillies.
  8. Add this ground paste to the fried onions.
  9. Add the turmeric powder,chilli powder and salt.
  10. Cook for few minutes.then add all the fried vegetables.
  11. Add the boiled peas.mix together and cook.
  12. Garnish with the chopped tomatoes and green coriander leaves.
