Almond (Badam) Kheer

  • Almonds
    - 250 gm
  • Sugar
    - 250 gm
  • Milk
    - 1 litre
  • Cardamoms
    - 7 or 8
  • Kesari Powder
    - Pinch


  1. Soak almonds in boiling water for at-least an hour.
  2. Remove the skin of the almonds.
  3. Grind to a smooth paste,adding enough water.
  4. Heat over fire,stirring frequently till it boils and the raw smell of almonds ceases.
  5. Keep this aside.
  6. Boil the milk,remove from fire.
  7. Add sugar,the powdered cardamoms and the keseri powder.
  8. Mix with the almond,dissolving well so that lumps do not form.
  9. Cool and serve.
